1. Who we are

iVAtlas is a personal finance tracking application operated as an independent product. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for advertising or commercial purposes.

2. What data we collect

We collect only what you explicitly provide:

• Account information: email address and hashed password
• Financial records you create: transactions, wallets, categories, limits, debts, savings goals
• App preferences: language, currency, theme, timezone, notification settings
• Optional: receipt images you attach to transactions

3. How we use your data

Your data is used solely to provide the iVAtlas service:

• Delivering core finance tracking functionality
• Generating AI-powered insights and monthly summaries from your own submitted data
• Sending budget limit alerts and recurring payment reminders you configure
• Producing reports and CSV exports on your request

Your data is never used for advertising, sold to third parties, or used to build profiles outside the application.

4. AI and data processing

iVAtlas offers optional AI analysis features. When you trigger an AI insight or monthly report, anonymised transaction data (amounts, categories, wallet names) is sent to an AI language model to generate a personalised summary or recommendation.

• What is sent: transaction amounts, categories, date ranges, wallet names, and spending totals
• What is never sent: your email address, full name, passwords, merchant names containing personal details, or receipt images
• Retention: AI processing happens in real time; the model does not retain your data between sessions
• Opt-out: You can disable AI data processing at any time from **Settings → Account → AI Data Processing**

AI-generated outputs are informational only and do not constitute financial advice.

5. Cookies and local storage

iVAtlas does not use third-party tracking cookies or advertising cookies.

If you install iVAtlas as a PWA, a service worker caches app assets for offline use. No financial data is cached locally.

6. Analytics

iVAtlas may collect anonymous, aggregated usage analytics (e.g. feature usage frequency, error rates) to improve the product. This data cannot be linked back to individual users and does not include transaction details, amounts, or personal identifiers.

We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any behavioural advertising trackers.

7. Data storage and security

Your data is stored on secure cloud infrastructure with:

• Encryption in transit via TLS 1.2+
• Encryption at rest
• Access restricted to your account via authenticated sessions
• No direct database access by unauthorised staff

The in-app currency converter fetches live exchange rates from a public rates API. Only the currency pair is sent — no financial data leaves the app.

No other third-party services receive your personal or financial data.

10. Multi-currency support

iVAtlas supports multiple currencies including AZN, USD, EUR, GBP, TRY, RUB, AED, and many others. All currency formatting uses your device locale to display numbers appropriately. Currency selection and preferences are stored in your account.

11. International users

iVAtlas is available globally. By using the service, you consent to your data being processed and stored on infrastructure which may be located outside your country of residence. We take reasonable steps to ensure appropriate data protection standards apply regardless of location.

12. Children

iVAtlas is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us at support@ivatlas.com.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. We will indicate the "Last updated" date at the top. Continued use of iVAtlas after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
